Interested in becoming a volunteer?

Do you love living in McLean? Want to help make it easier for you, your friends and your neighbors to continue to live and “age in place?”
You can help make it happen by volunteering with the newly-formed McLean Senior Source to connect residents with resources making it possible to live active, independent and social lives in a familiar, multi-generational neighborhood.

Volunteers are needed in a variety of positions. From those who can write to support our newsletter, to individuals who want to help connect residents with resources making it possible to live active, independent and social lives in a familiar, multi-generational neighborhood.

Open Volunteer Positions

Schedule & Procedures Manager: Need one person who will manage the monthly MSS schedule and coordinate openings with our pool of volunteers.
Volunteer Training: Need someone who will schedule monthly training coffees and coordinate to find speakers on topics of interest to the volunteers. Will also manage annual volunteer appreciation lunch.
Newsletter Manager: Curate content and issue monthly newsletters to those that have requested it using Mailchimp.
Website Manager: Post events and ensure current content on website.
Social Media Manager: Cross promote McLeanCVA events on social media outlets available and launch and manage those outlets McLeanCVA should be using.
Volunteer Recruitment: Promote, review, vet, and match all interested volunteers with open opportunities.
